ABOUT the ARTIST

Karen Kinser is a fine art painter based in Virginia, USA.

Kinser's paintings are inspired by her rural life and surroundings. An avid gardener with a successful hobby orchard, the subjects of recent paintings are often home-grown fruits, vegetables and flowers - all slices of the artist's everyday life. Her colorful vibrant oil paintings on canvas and panel are perfect accents for homes and offices. 
Kinser graduated from University of Florida,1974, with a degree in Graphic Design. This included many hours of fine art training and study of art history. The artist worked in the field of graphic design before painting full-time, and credits her years in advertising design for the strong composition and color sense in her fine art work.
