​KAREN KINSER is a Norfolk, VA oil painter. The artist creates colorful contemporary paintings of fruits and vegetables. Also known for her figurative paintings, Kinser's stunning portraits of children can be found in homes throughout the United States.

The artist received a Bachelor of Design from the University of Florida, Gainesville. She worked in the field of Graphic Design, as an art director, before returning to her fine art roots.  Concentrating on painting and drawing, her primary interest is 'color'. Kinser feels that her background in graphic design has been an invaluable asset - grounding her work with a strong sense of composition, proportion and movement. Kinser also has a great interest in the history of art, and owes much of her love of painting, to 'those who came before her'.
